本作由《第九区》导演尼尔·布洛姆坎普旗下的Oats Studios制作。3段各约20分钟的短片组成的《第一卷》，打响了Oats计划中实验短片系列第一枪。但导演表示是否会有第二卷、第三卷取决于观众的态度。《第一卷》即将登陆YouTube和Steam平台。。影片改编自英国女作家维拉·布里顿（Vera Brittain）成书于1933年的同名回忆录改编，回顾了她本人在一战期间的生活经历，以及她走向反战主义的心路历程。片中布里顿本人由瑞典新星艾丽西卡·维坎德饰演，哈灵顿将出演她的初恋情人。。It follows Reno, a newly married gunfighter seeking a quiet life with his bride.
