In their last attempt to save their marriage, Sara and Óscar decide to take a short vacation in a cabin in the woods with their two children. But upon arrival, strange events corrode the tense atmosphere between them: a woman prowls the house predicting events that defy nature, which break the family from within as they confront unresolved problems from their past.。「瓜を破る」の主人公は、30歳を超えて未だ性体験がないことをコンプレックスとしている会社員女性・まい子。ほかの人々が普通のことのようにしている体験を自分だけができていない現実に焦るまい子は、仕事中もプライベートの時間も、そのことが頭から離れなくなってしまう。そんな彼女が、コピー機のメンテナンス会社で働く男性・鍵谷と出会ったことから物語は動き出す。。
