We follow each of these women on their journey to a special hospital in Addis Ababa where they find solace for the first time...。故事发生在民国初年的上海，当时的上海官商勾结，帮会之间相互仇杀。具有强烈爱国心的武术世家传人马永贞（陈国坤饰）与帮派之间展开了一场义薄云天的搏杀。初到上海，他得到青帮首领白癞痢（徐少强饰）赏识，但他不为白的厚待所动，白极为失望，要逼他离沪。此时马永贞遇见蒋世光（刘腾远饰），蒋欣赏马为人仗义，推荐部分兄弟结识马永贞。从此，马永贞本着“人不犯我，我不犯人”的信条闯荡在帮会林立的上海滩。清帮和五湖帮是上海最出名的帮派，他们手下弟子众多，控制着当时上海滩的经济命脉，面对马永贞的仗义直言和乐善好施，两大帮派将其视为眼中钉肉中剌，水火不能相容......。
