美美子（本仮屋唯佳饰）是一家名为"咪咪"的烘焙店的店长，她充满热情地经营着这家店铺。然而，由于工作的辛苦和日常事务的繁忙，她很快发现雇佣的兼职员工们一个接一个地辞职，这让她面临人手不足的问题。这时，一位年轻人北熏（饭岛宽骑饰）前来应聘兼职。美美子好奇他为何选择来咪咪工作，感觉他隐藏着一些秘密。 随着时间的推移，美美子和北熏之间的距离逐渐缩小，彼此间的了解也逐渐加深。就在这时，面包店制作人柏木（竹财辉之助饰）突然带着一束鲜花出现在店里，他对美美子展开了猛烈的追求，让美美子感到困惑和纠结。。台湾偏乡小镇，劳力短缺，人口流失，只能靠非法移工填补人力缺口。来自泰国的外籍劳工为养活老家而来台，非法兼职看护，认真工作却始终未能获得信任，被指定管理其他看护，却遭雇主欠薪，紧接着有人失踪，导致恐惧与猜忌蔓延，情况陷入混沌，在道德争议中求生存，最终也迷失在大雾之中。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
