(Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。中年男子澄田真吾（中井贵一饰）是某电视台一档早间节目的主持人。曾贵为金牌主持人的他，因当年赈灾现场的不当举止而事业受阻。而如今流年不利，水逆当头，许许多多始料未及的麻烦一股脑地找上门来。凌晨三点，澄田和妻儿发生争吵。赶往电视台的路上，与之搭档的小川圭子（长泽雅美饰）又扬言要将两人正在交往的“真相”在电视上曝光。到了台里，又被好友告知节目将被腰斩的噩耗。他一面小心应付圭子，一面战战兢兢播报节目。与此同时，城中一家咖啡馆遭匪徒（滨田岳饰）劫持，对方指名道姓要求澄田来现场谈判。 漫长而艰难的一天开始了，澄田该如何面对这棘手的一切……。
